A lot of people have asked "what happened to the pencil part of your logo?!" -- We had a lot of discussion around it, and decided to put the pencil back in the box. We loved the pencil, but the reality is that our business has grown so much and become so digital, that the pencil doesn't mean what it used to. It used to represent the beginning of an idea. Even though we're all 'digital' artists now, we really do start with pencils and napkins when we're brainstorming. There are no limits with pencils and napkins. Technology, on the other hand, can get in the way of a great idea sometimes -- it becomes more about what is 'feasible' as opposed to what is 'right'. At Design 2.0, we start with great ideas and then figure out how to make them come to life. Maybe we should bring the pencil back... |
